Mine the Blue

It lay before me, a transparent mirror of cobalt and prussian blue, bordered with a rusty frame and reflecting the light of hammered gold clouds. I walked on it, my thick boots keeping me dry. I looked down, the mirror swallowed my image and did not let it out. It was thick, barely a ripple caressed it's surface, as the ice stood on the edges ready to take it over for the night.
