Jamel McMillian

He didn't play much basketball.
Mostly, he sat on the sidelines with me, reading a book while I fiddled with my camera.
He was one of the most voracious readers in his class, and consequently had a very high vocabulary.
His intelligence for his age marveled me, as I knew he would one day acheive great heights.
He requested a copy of Malcolm X to read, one of the only things he ever asked me for.
I hope he got it...
